FAQ

Common questions

Everything you need to know about the audit.

  • We measure four dimensions. Performance covers Core Web Vitals on mobile and desktop. SEO checks meta tags, headings, structured data, and sitemap signals. Security looks at HTTPS headers and the Mozilla Observatory grade. Accessibility uses the Lighthouse a11y score and image alt coverage.

  • About a minute. We run Google PageSpeed Insights for mobile and desktop, fetch your page once to scan its HTML, and call Mozilla Observatory in parallel. All of this happens on our server so your browser doesn't have to wait on six different APIs.

  • Very. Performance scores come from Google Lighthouse, the same engine Google uses to influence Search rankings. Security headers are checked against Mozilla's Observatory criteria. SEO and accessibility checks reflect the same rules tools like Ahrefs or axe use.

  • No. Each audit runs fresh and the result lives only in your browser tab. We don't keep audit history, save URLs, or attach the results to any account.

  • Yes, any publicly accessible URL. The site has to be reachable from the public internet (we can't audit staging environments behind a VPN or basic auth). It's also fine to audit competitor sites if you want to benchmark.

  • It's a quick, honest way to demonstrate the value we'd bring to a paid engagement. If your site comes back with a long list of findings, you'll have a clear picture of what's worth fixing. We'd love to talk if you want help shipping the fixes.

  • The free tool is automated and surface-level. It catches the obvious wins. A paid audit by our team adds manual UX review, code-level inspection, accessibility testing with assistive tech, a prioritized roadmap with effort and impact estimates, and a follow-up call to walk through the findings.
